What is Nourishment?

*Nourishment

  nour·ish·ment

  noun

Food or other substances necessary for growth, health, and good condition.

Nourishment is something that nourishes — does or provides what’s needed for someone or something to be healthy and to grow and develop. It can also refer to the act of nourishing or the state of being nourished.

Are you tired of code/ persona switching? Feeling worn out from wearing too many masks? Maybe there are some underlying behaviors and emotions that don't seem to make sense and you want to understand more? Is work becoming too overwhelming? Or maybe you're feeling exhausted because you can't seem to connect with someone who actually "gets it", which doesn't mean that they're terrible people, because they do their best, and they're endearing when they try, but they just don't seem to fully understand. It's hard trying to navigate life and all the complexities. As humans, we're multi-faceted, multi-dimensional, multi-layered beings, which can be really overwhelming. There are parts that we love, other parts that we dislike, maybe even hate. This can cause to act in self-sabotaging ways, such as lashing out, trust issues, isolating.

Welcome!

At Nourishment Mental Health

I believe that everyone deserves the opportunity to grow at their own individual pace and to let acceptance and safety direct their learning and healing. I operate from a trauma-informed lense & being culturally sensitive. My therapeutic process is to provide the opportunity and space for people to heal and find hope, despite hardships. The best part of being a therapist for me, is being able to be a part of someone’s journey; walking alongside them and empowering them to develop, heal, and grow. I am always so honored and humbled to witness the resilience of people.

My passion and joy comes from being able to recognize strengths in others and it feels fulfilling when I can help them see it within themselves. My overall approach is client-centered, trauma-informed, and strengths based. Other modalities I use are the Inner Child model, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Narrative therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Holistic Therapy and Internal Family Systems Therapy. I like to work from a place of integrating our mind, body, and spirit.

I'd love to be a part of your journey in learning how to cultivate a healthy and balanced life. I look forward to meeting you and getting to know all the ways I can help foster your learning and growth.

Let's walk this path of life together. I'm here to support you.
